Scafell Rock Tents Review

Scafell Rock tents, a popular tents brand based in the UK, comes in two variants differentiated by the number of persons that they can accommodate. One variant is a tent meant for two persons, while the other can shelter 4 to 5 persons.

Scafell Rock Quick Pitch tent, which is the smaller model, requires negligible pitching effort. Although, the absence of an inner lining makes it damp from the inside, the problem can be easily solved if the door is kept slightly open. This tent can easily accommodate two people, but there may be a dearth of space if the occupants are carrying large backpacks.

The second variant is a family tent, and like its above mentioned counterpart, is very easy to pitch. It offers good horizontal and vertical space from the inside, and has two doors to offer better ventilation. This is a very important feature as a lack of ventilation with five persons inside the tent can be quite uncomfortable.

The poles of both these tents are made of strong fiberglass, which makes them considerably lighter in weight. They are easy to roll away and their multicoated fabric offers double protection from water, making them an excellent choice for a cloudy day.

The products can be purchased from several offline stores across the UK, including Gelert’s retail stores. You can also buy them from online stores, which also let you see the experience that other customers have had with these products.

Luminox Dive Watch - Underwater GPS

Filed under: Adventure Stuff — @ 7:00 pm
My husband used to be a diver for the Navy; you know the kind, with the hard hats and heavy shoes. Now since he is retired, he has gone through a number of watches. He is having a difficult time with his watches. In a way, he is like a male Goldilocks; one has too small of a face, another one loses time, and there is one that has so many functions, he can’t even remember how to change the time. He either can’t see the numbers and information, can’t remember how to turn the light or put in a new battery. I think I will get him a luminox dive watch for Christmas. One that will remind him of his youth as well as one he can operate!

Giving the gift gps

I always tease my husband about asking for directions in the car. He is the stereotypical man that refuses to pull over at the gas station and ask which way to go. Then ultimately I get yelled at for not thinking he knows where to go. This year no more. For Christmas I decided to get an eco friendly gps unit for him. I knew he would love it. No more fighting over getting lost. We just put in our destination, and are off on our way. And if we do get lost, it tells us how to get back on track. Not that my husband ever gets lost, but just in case.

camping in Europe

Vacations in Europe can be quite expensive. The hotels are more expensive and so is the living cost. On the other hand vacations in UK are less expensive and quite manageable. But you have an alternative to hotels if you are planning to spend your vacations in Europe. All you have to do is find a camp site in Europe and enjoy your stay. Hiring a car and tent can be quite cheap for vacations in Europe. Camping in Europe can be fun as Europeans are fond of outdoor activities.

The best thing about camping in Europe is that you can find a wide range of facilities on there camp sites. You can easily find restaurants, bars and access to hot water. Some camp sites provide you with toilet facilities in your own camp. Another advantage of camping in Europe is that you can have the site booked online. You can find a lot of websites that provide you with this information and you can go for advance bookings. This way you can save yourself a good amount of money when compared to living in a hotel. The food services provided are also good but its best that you cook your own food.
